Sophia shares the challenges of parenting three little ones and making time for oneself. From a series of Story of M.O.M. stories collected for our exhibition Story of Mum: Mums making an exhibition of ourselves by Christina Douyon for the Museum of Motherhood.

I'm a pretty busy Mommy. I have three kids, ages 6, 1, and 4 months.

The youngest two keep me pretty busy. Breakfast in the mornings is an ordeal, the oldest two are always super hungry.

The youngest will wait while I prepare his siblings' meals, as long as I keep him in the baby carrier.

Going out together as a family on the weekends is an adventure. We purchased a minivan with the addition of our newest member so we can all comfortably fit into one vehicle and it takes about 15 minutes for us all to pile inside.

I work very hard to take care of my kids and husband, keeping me pretty busy from sun-up to sun-down.

What’s the most challenging thing about being a mother?

The most challenging part about being a mother is finding time for yourself.

Being a mother of three kids 6 and under makes it extremely difficult to find the time to do things like get my hair done, my nails, my eyebrows!

Even reading a book these days is hard.
